Trama
When we talk about Louis XVI and his wife Marie Antoinette, lace, tall wigs, bright clothes, colours, Versailles or... the guillotine immediately come to mind. Here, between these two extremes, there is a middle ground, a time that no one has ever told: the few months in which the last king and queen of France with their two little children were incarcerated in a black castle on the outskirts of Paris , waiting to be executed. A short, condensed time, where amid violence and harassment, all the masks fell: that of the two royals as public and private figures; those of the ancient regime; those of History which definitively turned the page, and that of God who from then on was eclipsed in the shadows, leaving man completely alone.
